How Refer Cards Work
When you order refer cards they are all numbered individually so if you ordered 500, each card would be numbered 1- 500. The number associated with each card is printed on both sides of the perforation in the middle. You tear the card in half and give the half with the written reward to your client so they can refer someone else. They in turn give it to their friend who brings the reward half back to your business to redeem it as a new client.
The right side is yours to keep where you will write down your referring client's name and contact details. When the new referral brings their half of the card into your business you look at the number and then match it up with your half of the refer card which has your referring client's details. You then know which of your referring client's to reward. The reward could be a free meal, free treatment, free consultation or anything that would incentivize your existing clients to refer your business to their friends and family.
Here is an example how to give several refer cards at once. Let's say you have a client at your beauty salon who you think would be able to refer you to several friends. You give them 10 intact cards which haven't been torn in half. You make a note of which numbers you gave them. For example 100 - 110. Next give them the complete cards except the first one (100) where you write their name and contact details on the right side. At the bottom on the left side write the reward you are offering.
